About the Role
Job Description:
The LPN will perform a variety of clinical support tasks to assist providers in treating private patients in a very busy Manhattan Pediatric offices.
Duties will include:
Triage patient calls
Complete all medical prior authorizations for the Manhattan office
Complete medical/ school forms for patients
Escort patients from waiting to exam room Obtain vital signs on patients (e.g., blood pressure, pulse, height/weight)
Perform routine EKGs
Provide phlebotomy services on patients from newborn through adolescent
Label and prepare specimens for processing.
Assist physicians in performing routine office procedures
Administer injections/immunizations to patients based on physician’s orders-on patients from newborn through adolescent
Proper documentation of all administered vaccines and all labs processed/results in patient encounter.
Maintain log of patient immunizations
Provide patient education regarding office and home procedures
Clean and prepare exam rooms for each patient encounter
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $38.00 - $43.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 37 per week

Ability to deal effectively with public and medical staff.
Continue to support physicians’ needs
Flexible shifts including rotation of weekends.
Maintain accurate inventory of immunizations
Give feedback to nurse manager and administrator regarding clinical concerns/scheduling
Be the backup person to order medical supplies for the office
